    The ABC’s of Our Classroom

    It is important that each student comes prepared in order to maintain an effective learning environment.  The grade that each student will receive will not only be determined by their work, but also by their observance of the following class procedures:

    Class Expectations

    • RESPECT everyone by using appropriate language and actions
    • Be here EVERY DAY and give your best academic effort
    • Be on time and be prepared for EVERY class EVERY day
    • Be RESPONSIBLE for your own success and learning
    • Look your best by dressing for SUCCESS – wear your uniform the correct way at ALL times.

    Class Preparedness/Procedures

    • Student should enter quietly and begin working on your bell ringer.
    • Bring all assigned textbook and materials, folders, composition book, and student planner daily to class.  NO STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO GO TO LOCKER TO RETRIEVE THEM!
    • Pencils are to be used to complete all math assignments.  (Ink pens may be used on emergency basis) (USE OF RED INK PEN WILL RESULT IN 5 POINT DEDUCTION!)
    • Sharpen all pencils upon entering the class. 
    • Scientific Calculator must be brought daily

                Class Objectives: Students will be able to determine 3 trigonometric values of an right angle.  Students will be able to determine the 3 trigonometric values of a right triangle.

                • In Class: Students will work with partner to complete 8.2 Practice B worksheet to find the 2 missing sides.
                • Homework: Students to complete Sine, Cosine, and Tangle worksheet pg. 113.

                Thursday:

                Class Objectives:  Students will be able to determine 3 trigonometric values of an right angle.  Students will be able to determine the 3 trigonometric values of a right triangle.

                • In Class:  Students will annotate and complete 1-5 problems finding the inverse functions of the right triangles.  Students will be able to the missing angles of 5 right triangles.
                • Homework:  Complete 9.6 Notes:  Problems 1-5 worksheet.

                Friday: 

                Class Objectives: Students will complete in class activity finding the missing angles of 8 right triangles.

                • In class:  Students complete SOC CAH TOA worksheet activity by determining which of the 3 trig functions to use to find the missing values of a right triangle.
